March 19th, 2011 will be the closest moon passing to the earth in the past 18 years. This could mean some extra great photo opportunities, or the end of the world. Depends on your point of view.
Set your calendar, get out the long lens, add a doubler and get your tripod. Oh yeah, and have some fun! Best to get out just as it is rising, that is when it is largest due to atmospherical magic! Best chance of neat lighting too!
